Our adventure begins today!
Drive along winding mountain roads to Jhinu Bridge, where our trek begins. Cross suspension bridges and climb stone steps to reach Chomrung (7,090 ft), a village perched above terraced hillsides.
Hiking Time: 2.5 hours
Today the trail descends steeply to the banks of the river Chomrung Khola. We cross over the river on a suspension bridge, then climb steeply through bamboo thickets leading to the small village of Sinuwa Danda. Here, the trail levels off and follows a ridge traveling through rhododendron and bamboo forests, always in view of the mountains.
Arrive in Bamboo (7,600 ft), surrounded by thick green groves and the distant echo of waterfalls.
Hiking Time: 5hrs
510ft elevation gain
Follow the trail deeper into the sanctuary as the air cools and the trees thin. Reach Himalaya Village (9,350ft), tucked between cliffs and mist-shrouded peaks.
Hiking Time: 6hrs
1,750ft elevation gain
Trek past cascading rivers and icy moraines as the mountains begin to tower above you. Along the way, we cross Hinku Cave and then make our way to Deruali with its wondrous rock cliffs lining both sides of the ridge.
Arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp (12,050 ft) beneath the striking “Fishtail” peak.
Hiking Time: 4.5hrs
2,700ft elevation gain
Climb into the heart of the Himalayas on Thanksgiving morning, surrounded by the towering peaks of Annapurna and Machhapuchare. As you reach base camp (13,555ft) timed with the rising sun, gratitude will feel effortless in a place this vast and humbling. Celebrate the day with your crew beneath a sky filled with prayer flags, jagged peaks, and awe-filled silence.
Hiking Time: 2hrs
1,505ft elevation gain
Begin our long descent surrounded by receding views of the mountainous sanctuary. Return to the warmth of Bamboo and the comfort of lowland air.
Hiking time: 8hrs
-5,955ft elevation loss
Hike through forest trails back to Jhinu. After soaking the hot springs, we drive back to Pokhara for well-deserved hotel room and celebratory dinner. We did it!
Wake to a peaceful lakeside morning and wander through cafés and craft stalls. Optional adventures await, from yoga to paragliding to boating on Phewa Lake.
Wake up to sunrise on Fishtail, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. This morning, we will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will drive to Boudhanath Stupa. After Boudhanath Stupa, we will drive to Patan Durbar Square.
Spend the rest of the evening exploring markets or relaxing before our farewell dinner.
Say goodbye to Nepal and the (new) friends you’ve shared the trail with.
